Inspirations:
February was more of a month of adjustment for me, as I tried to regain my footing after our getaway to Brazil. The cold and wet weather made it challenging for me to spend time outdoors. Additionally, I injured my back after a weekend full of markets, making it feel like a slow period of healing and adaptation.
With the current turbulent energy, it is so important to remain steady, particularly in the areas of life you want to develop. One thing I strive to do is detach from particular negative events happening both personally and globally. Detachment can be seen as a process of letting go. It enables you to release (mentally and/or physically) challenging situations and, at times, difficult people. By detaching from past experiences and future expectations, you can view your relationships, both personal and professional, more objectively, providing you with greater clarity. I recently attended a talk by David Hamilton: How your Mind can heal your body, where he discussed the notion of how people with autoimmune diseases can be so attached to their condition that healing becomes nearly impossible. It's vital not to be emotionally triggered and affected. As empaths, we need to remain strong and resilient, avoiding projection or overreaction. An empowered detachment originates from within; it's a way to maintain alignment and prevent triggering polarity and conflicts, free from prejudice or bias. It's also essential to recognize when you need to restore. Be the observer and stay aligned with yourself. In such cases, clear and loving communication is crucial.
There are many tools and techniques that can help us remain in that state as much as possible, allowing us to cultivate a sense of peace and balance amid the chaos of daily life:
An effective method for achieving this state is through staying centred with breathwork and meditation. Here is a nice Spring meditation I can recommend, which is specifically designed to align with the rejuvenating energy of the season.
Another valuable technique is the practice of removing yourself from the situation that may be causing stress or anxiety. This could involve taking a short break, stepping outside for some fresh air, or even engaging in a brief walk.
Being close to nature is another powerful way to ground yourself. Spending time outdoors, can significantly enhance your mood and reduce feelings of stress. It’s also beneficial to leave the phone behind during these moments, to fully immerse yourself in the experience without distractions.
Finally, the ability to practice self-care is an ongoing process that requires commitment and intention, allowing yourself the time to recharge and reflect. From indulging in a favourite hobby, reading a book, or simply enjoying a quiet moment with a cup of tea.
I was reading my newsletter from March 2023 on how interconnected we are and the illusion of polarity that often seems to divide us. By embracing interconnectedness through detachment, we cultivate an environment where collaboration and understanding can flourish, ultimately leading to a more harmonious existence.
March is a month rich with astrological significance, providing us with the tools and insights needed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and renewal. Embracing the energies of the Venus retrograde, the eclipse season, and Mercury retrograde can lead to profound personal growth and a deeper understanding of our relationships with ourselves and others. I highly recommend you follow Pam Gregory for a deeper understanding of these events.
As we approach the Equinox on March 21st, we begin to sense the energy rising with the longer, warmer days. Nature is truly coming back to life!
Your body will naturally start detoxifying particularly the area of the liver, as we near the seasonal transition. There are many effective supplements to support this, particularly those with Milk Thistle. It aids in the production of glutathione, a potent antioxidant crucial for our immune system and in eliminating toxins.
This is also an ideal time to start incorporating green juicing, sprouting seeds, chickpeas, lentils, and mung beans, for instance, and drinking nettle-top tea, to help elevate our vibrations and boost our energy with minerals like magnesium.
As the season progresses, it will soon be time to gather your wild garlic buds to make this delicious oxymel: This unique concoction, a delightful blend of honey and vinegar, not only offers a sweet and tangy flavour profile but is also renowned for its health benefits, including antimicrobial properties and immune support. Additionally harvesting wild garlic leaves to add to salads, soups, make pesto and wild garlic butter can really enhance all of your dishes!
